Food aggressive dogs can be very dangerous. This video shows the process of evaluating and training a food aggressive dog that was going to be euthanized. A local rescue group sent him in for training. The veterinarian that did his intial check-up recommended euthanizing him. Luckily for Gibson, West Suburban Humane Society and I created a program to deal with dogs with behavioral issues. We train the dog, the volunteers who handle him, and the adopters in order to ensure success in the home. This program has been so successful that it has recently recieved national attention including a large training grant and numerous media appearances.
